Store pages and the player

What players see on your game's page, and the controls the player gives them.

Free games: player first

A free game's page puts the game first, then the details players scroll to:

  • A breadcrumb and the player, filling the first screen.
  • The control bar under the game: volume and mute on the left; party, chat, achievements, leaderboards, settings, leave and fullscreen on the right.
  • A section rail: Overview, Reviews, Achievements and Leaderboards (when the game has them) and Community.
  • Your title row with cover, creator, likes, plays, Share and the player's library state.
  • Game details, media, system requirements and community tags.
  • More from you, Play with friends (party invitations from the player's friends list) and More like this.

The navigation rail collapses to icons on game pages so the game gets the room. Players can expand it again; their choice is remembered.

Paid games, and games that open on another site, use a store layout: your trailer and screenshots with a summary (cover, pitch, review count, release date, creator and genres), then a purchase box with the price, discounts, optional PEERLESS Points savings, wishlist and terms. Reviews, achievements and leaderboards follow, with related games alongside.

The player controls

ControlWhat it does
Volume and muteApplied to the game's Web Audio and media output. Remembered per browser. Games can follow it with Peerless.audio.
Full screenFullscreen for the game and the overlay.
Party and chatHosted panels; the game keeps running and input is released.
Achievements and leaderboardsHosted panels, when your game publishes them.
Player settingsNotice position, alert sound and an expanded mode for browsers without fullscreen.
Leave gameEnds the session. With the player overlay on, it asks first and lets the game close its connections.

Make the page yours

Page design settings in Creator studio (colors and effects) theme both layouts. Use real screenshots, a short pitch that says what the player does, and controls in the description. Media links must allow hotlinking.
