Changelog

SDK releases and platform changes that affect creators.

October 2026 · SDK 2.5

  • Player volume and mute in the control bar for every hosted build, including existing releases. Games can follow the setting with Peerless.audio.state() and Peerless.audio.onChange(), or the new audio event.
  • Free games play on their store page. A free game joins a player's library on first real play; page loads that the player never touches don't count as plays.
  • New store layouts: player-first pages for free games and store pages for paid games.
  • Typed capabilities and events in peerless-sdk.d.ts.
  • This documentation site.

SDK 2.4

  • Listen hosting over WebRTC with TURN fallback, quality-based host election, reconnect and migration hooks (sessions.listen()).
  • Regional endpoints for creator-dedicated servers (sessions.connection({ region })) and Forge Host.

SDK 2.2

  • Player cards, accepted friends, presence and the current party (social.*).
  • Hosted social panels (ui.open()).

SDK 2.1

  • Guest identity, gameplay analytics and leaderboards.

Every version speaks protocol 2. Releases keep the SDK they were built with until you upload a rebuilt release.
